01Welcome to the Cribbb community
Cribbb is a place to plan trips, share real travel experiences, travel with friends and meet people wherever you go. It only works when people can trust what they see and feel safe with the people they meet.
These guidelines apply to everything on Cribbb: profiles, videos, photos, reviews, ratings, comments, messages, group trips, calls and anything you ask Zuri to create. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
The short version: be real, be respectful, be honest, and look out for each other.
02Cribbb is not a dating app
Cribbb is for travel: planning trips, finding travel companions, getting local tips and making friends on the road.
Don’t use Cribbb to look for dates, hookups or romantic or sexual relationships. Don’t describe your profile, posts or messages that way.
Don’t send unwanted romantic or sexual messages, compliments about someone’s body, or requests for photos.
Respect a no. If someone doesn’t reply, says they aren’t interested or leaves a chat, stop contacting them.
Don’t use meeting people nearby to approach strangers for anything other than travel and friendship.
Friendships may grow out of travelling together, and that’s great. But Cribbb isn’t built or moderated as a dating service, and accounts used that way may be limited or removed.
03Be yourself: profiles and identity
Use your real identity. Your name and photos should be your own. One person, one account.
Don’t impersonate anyone, including other travellers, creators, brands, public figures or Cribbb staff, and don’t claim a verification you don’t have.
Keep your profile honest. Don’t lie about your age, where you are, or who you are travelling with.
Keep profile photos and names appropriate. No nudity, violence, hate symbols or offensive usernames.
You must be at least 13 to use Cribbb. Don’t lie about your age.
04Share your own content
Post what you made or have the right to share. Don’t copy other people’s videos, photos, reviews or captions and post them as your own, and don’t repost content without permission.
Credit where it’s due. If you share someone else’s tip or photo with their permission, say so.
Respect people in your content. Ask before you film or photograph people up close, and don’t share images of others in private moments or places.
No copyright or trademark infringement. If you believe someone has copied your work, report it.
05Honest reviews and ratings
Reviews and ratings help other travellers decide where to go and what to book, so they must be genuine.
Only review places and experiences you actually visited or used, and rate them on your own experience.
Don’t post fake reviews, review your own business or a competitor’s, or swap reviews with others.
Don’t offer or accept payment, discounts or gifts for reviews or ratings, unless you clearly disclose it.
Disclose sponsorships. If a video or review is sponsored, paid, gifted or earns you a commission, use the label Cribbb provides.
Keep it about the experience. Criticism is welcome, but no personal attacks on staff, no private information, and no threats.
Don’t try to game rankings, for example with multiple accounts or coordinated likes.
06Chats, calls and group trips
Be respectful in every conversation. Your chats are end-to-end encrypted, which protects your privacy, but the same rules apply in private as in public.
No spam. Don’t send unwanted promotions, chain messages or the same message to lots of people.
Don’t pressure people to meet, share personal details, move to another app or send money.
Group trips need everyone’s trust. Add only people who want to join, be honest about costs, pay your share and stick to the rules your group agreed.
On calls, don’t record or screenshot people without their permission, and don’t show anything you couldn’t post publicly.
07What isn’t allowed
We remove content and may suspend or remove accounts for:
Violence and threats: threatening, inciting or glorifying violence, or showing graphic violence.
Hate: attacking or demeaning people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
Harassment and bullying: insulting, shaming, stalking, repeatedly contacting someone who doesn’t want it, or encouraging others to do so.
Sexual content: nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit material, and sexual messages or requests.
Child safety: any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors. We report it to the authorities.
Scams and fraud: asking for money, fake listings or deals, phishing, pyramid schemes, or selling accounts, followers or reviews.
Dangerous and illegal activity: selling or promoting drugs, weapons or other illegal goods, human trafficking, or encouraging dangerous behaviour.
Self-harm: content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If you’re struggling, please contact local emergency services or a helpline.
Private information: sharing someone’s address, phone number, documents, location or private photos without their consent.
Misleading information: false claims about places, safety, visas or health that could harm people, and fake news presented as fact.
Spam and manipulation: fake or automated accounts, bots, scraping, or artificially boosting likes, followers or rankings.
Impersonation and copying: pretending to be someone else, or posting other people’s work as your own.
08Respect places and cultures
Respect local laws, customs and religious sites, and don’t encourage others to break them.
Leave places as you found them. Don’t promote damaging nature, wildlife or heritage sites, or trespassing for a photo.
Be kind to locals and businesses. Treat hosts, guides and staff the way you would want to be treated.
09Reporting and how we enforce
Report anything that breaks these guidelines from a profile, video, review or chat, and choose the reason. You can also block anyone at any time.
What happens next. Our team reviews reports and decides what to do based on how serious the problem is and whether it has happened before. We may remove content, add a warning, limit features such as meeting people nearby or posting, remove a verified badge, or suspend or permanently remove an account. For the most serious harm, such as threats or child safety, we remove the account straight away and may contact the authorities.
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, contact us at hello@cribbb.com and we’ll review the decision.
Encrypted chats. We can’t read your chats. If you report someone from a chat, we act on what you tell us and on their account’s history.
10Changes to these guidelines
Our community grows and changes, and so will these guidelines. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app.
